Microsoft Invites Calinda to the Silicon Valley to Code on SharePoint 2010

Mountain View, Jan 15th 2010 - Microsoft presented SharePoint 2010 last November. It is the latest version of the market leading SharePoint enterprise collaboration platform and it comes with many new and efficient development tools. SharePoint 2010 brings many improvements in the fields of usability (SilverLight integration, Office Ribbon interface), functionality (social networks, advanced search, knowledge classification) and performance.

To demonstrate the power of this new platform for the most innovative applications, Microsoft organizes during the week of January 25th on its Mountain View campus the SharePoint 2010 SocialFest. This event will gather 7 of the world's best start-ups in the field of Enterprise 2.0: Confer, Liaise, Leverage Software, Loqu8, Huddle.net, Calinda Software, and Cortex Intelligence.

These champions were selected by the enterprise software giant for their innovation track record and the very high potential of their solutions to impact the market and the daily work of Microsoft SharePoint customers and users. Gathered in a common location, they best developers will code night and day during the whole week to develop innovative features on top of SharePoint 2010 new capabilities. Be reassured, they will be provided with an unlimited supply of food, drinks, coffee and computing power.

At the end of the week, each start-up will demonstrate the results of this work in front of a tier-one group of Fortune 500 companies, investors and Enterprise 2.0 experts, including the bosses of Microsoft's SharePoint business unit!
